Have you ever experienced stomach ache with heartburn? Ever felt full even after a small meal? Do constipation, nausea, bloating and vomiting, knock the door of your life every now and then?

All these are a group of symptoms that form the issue called indigestion.

Almost everyone on the planet experiences indigestion. You too might have experienced the uncomfortable feeling of an upset stomach at times. But do you know why it happens?

Causes of Indigestion

The main cause of the issue is clear by the name itself. Indigestion happens because your body isn’t able to ‘digest’ the food properly.

The reasons behind not being able to digest food can be as simple as overeating, smoking, side effects from medications and alcohol.

However, they can also be severe like acid reflux disease, bile duct or pancreatic abnormality, and peptic ulcers or gastric cancers.

Now to treat this issue, you need to improve your digestion. And also work on the root causes which are taking away your health from you.

But is it as easy as it sounds? Medications and therapy programs that are usually used to cure anything, often ask for too much effort and money from your end. Plus, medications can sometimes bring you terrible side effects.

What you need is a solution asking for less effort and no side effects. The secret lies in nature’s quintessential spices.

Fight Indigestion With These 4 Spices From Nature’s Caddy

  1. Fenugreek

Famous by the name of Methi Dana in Hindi, Fenugreek is a marvel. It is rich in fiber and has an extensive variety of antioxidants.

It is also highly useful against diseases like Diabetes and PCOS because it flushes the body’s toxins out and helps the hormones balance.

The same benefit of detoxification implies digestion. The fiber, antioxidants, plus antibacterial properties of Fenugreek make it boost your ability to digest food better and faster.

Apart from this, Fenugreek’s cooling properties help soothe the stomach and the gut as well. Thus, helping your upset stomach amp up its mood and work towards digesting food with all its energy.

Here are two simple ways through which you can consume Fenugreek and avail its benefits.

  • Fenugreek Tea — Just add fenugreek seeds or powder to some water. Boil this composition for 5 minutes. And drink it away. The warmth of this tea is bound to induce healing energy in you while the nutrients work their way into your gut and promote digestion.

2. Cinnamon
